What is Business Operations (BizOps):

BizOps is a small and highly leveraged group of problem solvers who spike in analytical thinking, project and stakeholder management, and getting stuff done. As a BizOps Lead, you’ll have a great opportunity to help Kargo scale a thriving business. We work on strategic initiatives hands-on, in very close coordination with functional partners, and we see projects through implementation. We build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels and deliver real, tangible outcomes. We help our leadership keep the trains running on time and support laying down new tracks to take us to new places. We are the bridge between strategic vision and execution.

Who we’re looking for:

Kargo is looking for a Lead to join our Business Operations team. This individual will own the Global Operations & Supply functions for the BizOps team.

The most important quality we’re looking for in a candidate is grit – this is someone who, above all else, loves a challenge and gets things done. This is a self-starter and critical thinker that is excited to push the team to a higher level. Candidates should possess exceptional analytical, writing and verbal skills, and must be extremely strong with numbers.  We’re looking for someone who loves solving complex problems – challenging the data, asking hard questions, weighing information under uncertainty, and project managing across multiple teams. Being able to quickly build trust with peers and confidence with senior executives is critical. Intellectual curiosity and deep attention to detail are musts.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner closely with Global Operations and Publisher Partnerships executives to triage priorities and project manage them to implementation.
  • Establish an operating rhythm with executive partners to ensure the Global Operations & Supply organizations are running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives.
  • Gather and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, synthesize findings, develop operating plans, and present recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Relentlessly and swiftly execute on those recommendations until you’ve achieved the desired outcome.
  • Own corporate KPI management for Heads of Global Operations and Publisher Partnerships.
  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and ongoing business analysis for your teams.
  • Initiate cross-functional communication to facilitate execution against key priorities.
  • Build and activate tailored models, reports, and other solutions for business partners, focused on driving better decisioning around revenue, costs, clients, products, and key health metrics.
  • Support ad hoc business analysis for corporate development and / or business development efforts.

You’re a great fit if you:

  • You have a BA/BS required from a top university
  • You are entrepreneurial. Relentless but humble.
  • You have 3-7 years experience in consulting, finance, analytics or business operations; experience at a high-growth or rapidly changing company is a plus.
  • You can’t live without Excel.
  • You can adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • You can stay positive under stress.
  • You are not afraid to lead.
