Director of International Revenue Operations

The Position:

Reporting to the GM International, your focus will be supporting and growing Inventory & Yield, Sales Planning, and Platform Operations for all markets outside of the US. Kargo International currently covers EMEA through a central UK office and APAC through offices in Australia and New Zealand. The role is both managerial from a Platform Manager point of view, and as an individual contributor supporting yield and planning across the regions. 

Kargo Inventory & Yield is focused on delivering the most efficient rate cards to the Sales teams to ensure ease of sale as well as maximizing margin return for the business. Success in this role is someone who can enable Sales to bring in the revenue while having a keen eye on how we scale the business and what our network health looks like. The individual will also possess analytical skills across both programmatic and direct booking metrics using our BI Tool Looker to enable International wide analysis and best practices. For Sales Planning you will directly serve to approve or reject any sales packages outside of standard that Sales may need approval on. This person will work closely with the heads of Sales in both London and Sydney to ensure we scale effectively and support the growth of the business. Platform Management is the delivery arm of the business. You will be supported by a centralized Trafficking team, but you and your team will need to enable the delivery through deal analysis and technical troubleshooting of all campaigns run out of the International office. Your highest priority is enabling then actualizing on the revenue for everything outside of the US - directly contributing to the final office revenue number and working with all heads of departments for International to get there. 

The Responsibilities:

  • Managing an International Platform Operations team, currently based in London but soon to be added to Sydney
  • Part of International/UK management team
  • Owning all International rate-cards, working closely with US Revenue Operations to gain as much alignment as is possible given market differences
  • Helping to support International network analysis both on the demand and supply side of the business
  • Accountable for all revenue delivery for all International offices
  • Vetting all non-standard sales packages for International sellers and working with sales to get them adapted for approval
  • Processing all make-good requests from Sales and Account Management teams for any added value or agency payback due to error/bugs/etc.
  • Working with Platform Management on daily pacing and optimization of all direct campaigns and programmatic deals
  • Contact for any International RFI completion
  • Key stakeholder with US teams to ensure information is shared globally and that International teams have the latest and greatest materials for both sales and delivery
  • Senior client facing arm of the International business working with clients, DSPs, agencies, and others to ensure easy actualization of revenue
  • Regular contact with operations arm in Sydney
  • Business Development contact for DSPs across EMEA; building relationships that help drive quicker resolve to issues and increase throughput

The Requirements:

  • Great understanding of adserving and creating technologies such as DFP, Celtra, AdTech, Sizmek, etc.
  • Proven experience of working with and optimizing against viewable and brand safe metrics with vendors such as IAS, MOAT, and Google products
  • Experience working closely with DSPs in a setup and troubleshooting capacity, preferably in an analytical position
  • Strong troubleshooting attitude and keen analytical mind
  • Experience of basic code such as JavaScript and HTML
  • Good use of proxy tools such as Charles
  • Self-starter mentality and ability to drive their portion of the business
  • 6+ years in the advertising technology space with 1+ years in management or a strong proven background as a team leader
